The Firm Admin will have the ability to create two types of entities:

  • Tax Professional entities- The purpose of tax professional entities is to act as a “parent entity” for the client entities assigned to them. Users assigned to a Tax Pro entity will have the ability to create Client entities in the admin portal and add client users. The Tax Professional can then impersonate the Client entities and access the Account Summary, Transactions, Sub Ledger, and Tax Reporting tabs.

  • Client entities- the client entities act as the “child entities” and are where users will upload their transaction data. A user assigned to a client entity will only have access to the Account Summary tab and will only be able to view the Transaction pages without being able to modify/delete.

The Tax Professional will only have the ability to create client entities. Any user assigned to those client's entity will only have access to the Account Summary tab and will only be able to view the Transaction pages without being able to modify/delete.
